Step 1 Joint Research Trial Subsidy [Maximum 2 million yen]
Eligible: Foreign-affiliated companies etc. conducting new research and development jointly with universities, research institutes, companies etc. in the prefecture*

Step 2 Startup Visa System [Maximum 2-year residence status]
Target: People who want to stay in Japan to prepare for starting a business in the prefecture

*The procedure takes approximately two months, so please contact us well in advance.
*Please fill out all documents in Japanese as a general rule. If you have difficulty filling out the documents in Japanese, please consult with Ibaraki Prefecture, who can introduce you to an administrative scrivener.
